one frenzy ends and another begins...

With the amazing Thanksgiving holiday and Black Friday behind us, tomorrow we welcome the first day of December! It's hard to believe a month from now, 2010 will be almost just a memory and we'll be *thisclose* to welcoming 2011. But before we do that, let me list a few highlights from the past week that were special in our family.

* Thanksgiving Wednesday is hopefully becoming a tradition on my side of the family! What could be better than loads of shrimp cocktail, a gorgeous turkey perfectly roasted (even clean with a bag o' stuffing tucked inside!), or catching glances of my stepfather Shawn sporting an apron? And who could forget my lil' sister Lindsay's very first dessert contribution to the family meal?

* Thanksgiving Thursday!! The K side of the family was crowded and fun and many thanks to Dave, Sue, Wes, Raquel, Austin and everyone else who worked so hard to make the K 2010 Thankgiving so perfect. Tabitha, you can be on my Pictionary team any time!

* Matt's 5 day weekend which inevitably went by way too fast.

* And last, but certainly not least, the amazing news we shared with our families during the holiday...that we will be welcoming baby #3 to our family in summer, 2011!! Yes, everyone...I am pregnant and we are so excited for baby's arrival. And so happy to know that our families can't wait either. :)

So in a nutshell, we have so much to be thankful for...our families, our friends, our health, our happiness and a new little life that will bless our family on or around July 1, 2011. ;)
